Spring Recital Assignments

Our Spring recital will be held on April 12th, 2:00pm, at LaGrange College. This is going to be a Duets Recital. Each student will get to play one solo piece and one duet. Here are your duet buddies:

If your name is not on the list and you HAVEN'T told me you'll be able to make it to the recital, please let me know by your next lesson.

Welcome Back!

With Christmas behind us and the snow and ice slowly melting, it's time to begin piano lessons again! I hope everyone enjoyed their break and had plenty of time to spend with family and friends and play in the snow! Lessons begin this week for Tuesday and Wednesday students and due to the ice storm, next week for the Mondays! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again.

It's beginning to look a lot like...a piano recital!

It's that time of year again when it's time to start thinking piano recital thoughts! Just a few details to mark on your calendars:

What: Christmas Piano Recital
When: December 9th, 2010
Where: Oakside Baptist Church
Time: 7:00pm

Over the next couple weeks start thinking of songs you would like to play for the recital. They can be old favorites that you've already learned this year or a new song that you've just started. Either way, as soon as you decide let me know so I can put you down for it. The first one who asks for a specific song gets it!

It's that time of year...

It's that time of year when the weather gets cooler, summer vacation is over, and more and more people are starting to think about piano lessons! A very special welcome to Hope, 9, Landen, 6, Leah, 8, and Kaylee, 8 who all started piano lessons this month! I'm looking forward to teaching you throughout the journey you've just begun.

I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer and getting plenty of time to play outside in the sun. When it gets too hot out, think of that as a good time to practice the piano. I want to take this opportunity to welcome Nicholas, 7, and John, 4 to piano lessons. They both started lessons in July and are off to a great beginning.

First Summer Challenge Winners

Two students have already completed their Summer Challenge! Laurel, age 8, finished her challenge on August 4th. She chose a gift card to Wal-Mart for her prize. The next day, Paisley, age 10 finished her challenge. She chose a gift card to Scoops for her prize. Both of them have improved greatly this summer and now have five songs that they can play from memory! Good job, girls!
